Lilly is all alone.

Tony was once alone.

Lilly's screams of terror and pain every night match the ones Tony hears in his nightmares, his mind and soul still healing from the trauma of the New York invasions.

Tony's fire and fury burns bright as he stays up late into the morning, and the same fire and pain reflects off into Lilly's eyes with each person she sets on fire, the purple flames dancing in her vision.

S.H.I.E.L.D was the one to doom the infamous Tony Stark, yet, ironically, it saves Lilly, breaking her chains free from the dark and isolating Hydra cells and setting her free in to the world.

The two are connected, in more ways than one, and when they both learn a permanent truth, their lives are forever changed, intertwining in ways that can never separate.
