There's only one thing adults lose more often than their keys, and that's their dreams.
Not Blake Richards though. The farm boy had a knack for stubborn persistence, and despite a reality that wasn't entirely supportive of his dreams, he held onto them nonetheless. What was his dream you ask? Why, to become a superhero, of course.

Aided by his best friend, Parker Moore, the neurotic millionaire playboy genius, Blake has conducted over thirty experiments, all with one goal: to attain superpowers.

But, when mythological shit hits the fan and his friends and loved ones (i.e. his girlfriend and his dogs) are thrown into danger, he'll have to step up and face the consequences of his dreams.
Superpowers, or not.

The Starlight Sentinels: The Amusing Story of a Struggling Superhero Team by JGrayDingler
8 parts Complete
A man, a woman, a boy, a girl, a demon, and an alien, all walk into a bar... THEY FIGHT CRIME! The Starlight Sentinels goes beyond The Watchmen's question of "Who would want to be a superhero?" by asking "Who would want to be a superhero if being a superhero was just another job people needed doing?" The Starlight Sentinels, that's who! They're not your traditional superhero team, and they're not the other guys either, nor are they the grizzled antihero type. Instead, they're just people who happen to work as superheroes in a world where being a superhero isn't so much a call to greatness as it is an eccentric career choice and super villains are just another problem that people try not to think about. Drawing inspiration from films such as Shawn of the Dead and TV series such as the Venture Bros, the Starlight Sentinels was crafted to be an amusing and occasionally action-packed adventure grounded by a diverse cast of humorous but relatable characters. You may laugh at their numerous missteps, but you'll also be cheering for these heroes and heroines hard-earned triumphs as well. Join this comedic costumed cabal in their debut adventure as they fight crime and battle the forces of evil anytime they're not stuck filling out forms for the police, trying to appease their overbearing corporate sponsor, struggling to gain recognition from an apathetic public, or arguing over whose turn it is to do the shopping in this hilarious tongue-in-cheek tale that takes on all things superhero! If you enjoy the first half of The Starlight Sentinels, you can pick up the full book on every major eBook seller, or order a printed copy from Amazon or Createspace.
Dior Knight and the Armory: Alters and Monsters by OtherNature
2 parts Ongoing
Confident but anxious Dior Knight is constantly thinking about his father. After he abandoned him at the age of six and his mother was placed in a mental institution, Dior has spent the last nine years at the most prestigious orphanage in Novas City, California, turning to comic books and the love of his two best friends, Logan Gold and Artemis Jennings, for comfort. When he comes across twelve year old artist Kairo Sears and saves him from being bullied, an experience Dior knows all too well about, Kairo invites Dior and his friends on a once in a lifetime trip around the world with his loving but absent father, Aaron. Logan Gold isn't as confident as Dior and worries their group will split up once he leaves for college, leaving his longtime crush on Artemis unexplored. Artemis loves being the smart, sensible girl of the group but questions her origins and longs for an answer to who she would have been had she not been left at the orphanage. All Dior really wants is one final summer of fun with his friends before the future threatens to change everything. But when he is kidnapped and filled with energy from a dimension known as Otherness, he quickly realizes that being a real-life hero isn't as easy as the comics and movies make it seem. Why did the mysterious group only known as the Organization have him taken? Who is this Director that everybody seems to be so afraid of? And what does all of this have to do with Dior's Dad?

Robin Swift has two best friends Jem Blake and Jack Ali together they form a superhero team that operates out of base called the Treehouse, which is an actual treehouse in Jacks back garden. With Robin in the field and Jem and Jack behind the scenes, together can they help eliminate some of the fear in the world? There's a villain who operates from the shadows using his powers to get what he wants, like all cliche villains he wants total control over the world and his willing to do anything for it ____________________________. In fiction, we usually see that the powers that a superhero happens to possess fit their personality to some extent. Or are just seemingly random, that sometimes happens. But what if people had powers that were linked to their biggest fears or something they just plain hated... Well in my world that's exactly how it works... My name is Robin Swift and I'm a superhero... Or at least I try to be, I may not be the most experienced or the most well known but as long as I try my best that's all that matters right. At least that's what my best friend always tells me...
