The year is 2018. New York City native, Juniper Abram-Turner, is less than optimistic when her mother abruptly moves them back to her Vermont hometown. In a new school halfway through senior year, Juniper has no reputation and no desire to develop one. She's in for a rude awakening at East Port High though, where the student body holds a grudge against her famous athlete father for graduating from their rival school.

With this target already on her back, Juniper does herself no favors when she hits East Port's star baseball player with her car, benching him for the remainder of the season. Luckily, Sonny White ― hometown hero ― isn't interested in pressing charges. Instead, his family decides Juniper will play nurse, chauffeur, and all-around servant to him while he heals. But when he does, will she be ready to stop?
