When melody is paired up with fellow Lieutenant Hank Anderson and his RK800, Connor, for a Android disappearance case, Connor isn't able to stay focused on the mission. He's also experiencing emotions he had never felt before. More prominently: Love.

This is set around 3-4 years AFTER D:BH, and Connor is no longer talking to Amanda.

You were never supposed to exist. An RK700. An earlier model meant to do Connor's job, but scrapped before you ever got the chance to leave the assembly line. Deemed a failure. Tossed in the dump. But you rebuilt yourself, piece by piece, and carved out a new life doing what you were made for: solving crimes. You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you. The one designed to find everything you're pretending not to be. And he's very good at his job. It'll take you 5 mins to read the first chapter, give it a try ;) I am very proud of this story! This may be written 7 years after the game's release, but I really hope all of you loyal fans are still looking for more content... My two biggest inspirations for this story: - Deviating and Solving Crime with 100% Human Detective Connor by CaotainKenway on ao3 for the whole android pretending to be a human concept. - Deviant Behaviour by Precursor - just general inspiration because it's my fave dbh fic of all time.

Connor, the Android sent by CyberLife and Lieutenant Hank Anderson are now armed with the task of taking care of a five year old girl after she survived a house fire that was started by a suspected deviant. However, her parents were not so fortunate. Together, the three go on missions, solve cases and try to uncover what is causing androids to deviate throughout Detroit. As the story progresses, Connor begins to question the way humans treat androids. With the help of five year old (Y/n), he will have to make a decision. F/N L/N was a detective for the Detroit Police Department. Her father was on the force and she decided to join the force shortly before his death 2 years ago now. She was born in 2012, and witnessed the first machine to pass the Turing Test. She'd spent over half of her life with androids around, she was used to them, she accepted them as a part of society. After the passing of her father, Hank presumed the role of her father figure, upholding his promise to the man he'd known for so long. They were partners and worked together on many cases. What happens when a spanner, in the form of the RK800 android Connor, is thrown into their lives to help solve the deviancy cases? After all, they all bleed blue right? --- Updates on Mondays --- The Detroit police department in 2039 is a strange place. Outbreaks of Deviancy within the everyday android are turning this town rampant; and is turning the police department into a war zone. A hard-boiled eccentric police lieutenant, and his android, RK800 companion are no longer able to keep up with the cases by themselves, and request an additional partner. Everyone in the police department are already over loaded, so CyberLife creates a in-the-works android, developed by Elijah Kamski to investigate, analyze, and problem solve. And it's name is "Sean." A 16 -13 -1. Hank and Connor greet their partner with stress, and demands of perfection. Due to Sean being a project started by Kamski, there are somethings that set him apart from the normal android. There are multiple parts to his "mind" that come to serve his partners. Sean's primary directive is to serve, and assist these two in their investigations, but something deep inside of him has other plans.
