Define Love

"Come out come out now! I know you're in there"
His footsteps were getting closer. I could feel the horror, the pain. A tear escaped my eye making its way down my bruised cheek.
"Do we really have to do this?" He sounded frustrated, all the playfulness long gone.
I cowered back when I saw his shadow, he was standing in front of the bed now, the bed I was hiding under!
Trying my best to slowly cower away, I felt something cold touch my bare back.
Rock hard and cold.
And when I looked back, I didn't expect to see what was there hidden.
All was heard were my loud screams.
