What the future holds was always a mystery. How you grow, what job you'll have, who will be you're true love. But no one would ever think of a future full of people rising up from their graves, craving the living. Who knew you would have to live in a world with no trust, not many people, and where in a split second, you could die. Courtney lives what she calls a terrible life. She has been living with her dad after her parents divorced at age four. She never thought life could get any worse, until a great disease hit the world. There was no escaping it, and Courtney learns how to fight, how to survive the dead. She meets many people along the way, and learns not to trust people and not to get attached... Even to her best friends. Along the way she even learns how to love, something that even in the world now, she thought could never happen. But what will happen? Will she lose her love? Her friends? Family? Only the future can tell.
