Drake was hatched at the same time as Nick, his rider was born. Unlike the other hatchlings, Drake's rider was not born within the same society, or even on the same continent. Telepathically linked, Nick and Drake are able to communicate . Though the two take some comfort from this link, being half a world apart has left them longing to be together.
Now that Drake is finally able to fly, the young dragon must travel the world to be with his life partner and rider.
