We wanted to create a platform that celebrated the works of all genres of Black Literature on Wattpad. With the O.V.O.S. Awards, we hope to form a community and a way to promote the best Black stories found on Wattpad. If you are interested, please read on for details about the selection of judges, nominations and voting.

Being a princess and growing up in the palace still didn't prepare Olanna TO BE A QUEEN. Being the second daughter and always craving to be normal, she decided to settle with a non-royal and live her life the way she has always dreamed (as a commoner). But then we don't always get what we wish for, do we? A King who decides to fulfill his father' s promise to another has no other option but journey to a foreign land to take the princess as his wife. For a man who believes that women are only created to breed, and respect her husband he is in for a long ride. Besides we don't always get what we want. The writer was sitting in front of her computer, stuck with the writer's block, when her phone suddenly buzzed, showing the name of the one she missed the most. As the memories came back when she heard that voice she always loved, hundreds of questions lingered in her mind. But she had never gotten the chance to even form the words as the line cut off at the same time the explosions suggested that it might have been the end. Jo Narson was just a writer who was trying to finish her fourth book, while not being able to move on with her life without the color of her life. She never thought that she would have to run for her life.
