Her toes curled up beneath her as she crouched down behind a giant pine tree, suddenly regretting not picking up a pair of shoes as she ran out the door. Snow had begun to fall along the ground as the temperature of the night seemed to drop dramatically. Long brown curls tickled her neck as a breeze suddenly picked up and whistled through the tall pines.
"Blue! Get back here dammit!" A deep slurred voice shouted from not too far away.
A small whimper escaped her lips without hesitation and she clasped her hand to her chest, trying to regain her breath from sprinting through the forest.

Life isn't easy for Blue. Living with foster parents who use her for her state pension. Absentminded and filled with the influences of substances.
