"Do you think that we'd still be here like this if we have never met?" He asked looking up at me with a smile.
"I guess," I looked down at my fidgeting hands, "Would you have ever noticed me at all if we haven't met." I looked at him with a sad expression.

This is during the time period of social status, peasants, nobles, knights, Kings, and Queens. A mix between the medieval period and the Renaissance.
The story followed a servant named Aida, she worked within the castle of the royal family. While doing her normal routine she mistakingly ran into prince Elias in the most interesting of circumstances. After a few encounters, they began to blossom a friendship. While developing this friendship Aida and Elias don't even realize that they are falling for each other. This story follows the struggle of status, friendship, love, war, and duty.
A servant's daughter befriends the prince and finds an unlikely friendship. One that would be greatly scrutinized. Pushed and pulled, the prince has to choose the future of the kingdom he is being raised to rule? One that has its place for servants, and those of the upper class. But two shall never mix.
Or follow his heart? That tells him he sees more in her than just a servant? As they grow up, the once innocent hearts that believed all were equal, quickly learn that there is a rift between servant and prince. And to cross onto the other side would mean losing everything.
Will love and friendship be enough to surrender everything?
