She shuffled past the fight. Lucky enough to not be the girl who was bullied everyday. She had once been, but her lack of response made them give up. Now she was a bystander, unwilling to help the needy.
She wasn't going to be that unpopular girl who fell in love with the popular guy who's life changed. No. She was just a bystander who watched as a girl's life's changed.

I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." Despite the absentee baby daddy, she's going to fill her son's world with all the love, time, attention and security that she missed out on as a young child. Their world is bright and happy, shiny and safe (as far as she's aware) and she will do everything in her power to keep it that way. Her move back to Ventura is the best thing (next to her baby) that's happened to her, ever, so she is not going to let the grumpy, jerk of a club lawyer/club brother get in the way of her own happily ever after.
