Telugu cinema, conjointly best-known by its moniker Tollywood, is the phase of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures within the Telugu language, primarily based in Film Nagar, an area of Hyderabad. Since 1909, filmmaker Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu father of Telugu cinema was concerned in producing short films and travel to totally different regions in Asia to market film work. In 1921, he made the first Telugu silent film, Bhishma Pratigna. He's cited because of the father of Telugu cinema. In 1933, East India Film Company has made its 1st Indian film, Savitri in Telugu. The 1951 film Patala Bhairavi was the only south Indian film screened at the first India International festival, held in Bombay. Bhakta Prahlada is that the 1st Telugu full-length talkie film, based on The Story of Narasimha and Prahlada in Hindu mythology. It's created by H. M. Reddy, a pioneer of the Indian movie industry.
