The Legend of the Uncharted Island
Balin Van Buuren, a once-renowned swashbuckling novelist fallen on hard times, attempts to reclaim his former fame by writing a book based on a mysterious journal acquired in a London tavern. Though the novel proves a commercial failure, its publication triggers an unforeseen chain reaction: it draws the attention of the Spanish Empire, the wrath of the Holy Office, and the ambitions of pirates, viceroys, and elves alike-all convinced that the journal contains more than mere fiction. Set against the backdrop of early eighteenth-century New Spain and the Caribbean, this is a tale of adventure without heroes-only characters driven by desperation, ambition, or the need to survive, locked in a deadly race for a treasure believed to be legendary... and dangerously real. The fusion of colonial history and dark fantasy shapes a novel for readers drawn to intrigue, complex worlds, and stories where every secret comes at a cost.
