Shane Bronson, ex-drummer of Avenge The Benchers, was involved in a horrible car accident that caused him to lose his right hand. He's been excluded from the Roseville High School Society, and he finds himself feeling sad, useless and unmotivated all the time. One day, Caroline Oak sits with him at lunch, not caring that everybody can see her sit down with The Cripple. He likes her instantly, thinking that her unconventional beauty is surreal and too good to be true.

Caroline seems to be the only one who can make Shane move on with his life and realized that things do get better if you keep trying. Follow Shane and Caroline as they work through the tangled-up mess that is Shane's life, and how they feel when everything does, in fact, get better.
