Nicole is a fifteen year old girl, she attends school but is currently on summer break, and her horse SongHeart was brutally murdered during the night, and one handsome boy wouldn't leave her alone about the tragic death of Nicole's precious horse. Her parents get into non-stop arguments so she walks out and finds a mustang and immediately there was a comforting connection between the two but Nicole's father said she wasn't allowed to keep him so she runs away to her Aunty's house and makes a friend named Casey and her horse Bliss.

Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race.
