The world is constantly at war, no one wants to admit it though. For as long as there has been humans, many children were born with unique abilities. Some mystical, some destructive, and a few were all powerful. The world shut us out for twenty years because they couldn't understand who or what we were. We are human, just with some talents. That didn't stop them from making life harder on us..Any settlement made? Blown up with its civilians inside. Good paying jobs? We couldn't even move up in life. After awhile we rioted and threatened to get the attention of the public and the world, that won us our natural rights. On the condition that we don't make ourselves known.

But some held a grudge.. The so called "Republic of the New Order" , in 1920, started kidnapping kids with powers and abilities, shaping them into soldiers or experimenting on them. Soon the World leaders became concerned and confused about what they were going to do to counter this threat. The Republic soon took over South America and a small portion of Canada, becoming a threat to humanity. The main reason why they were even established was because their hate of regular humans was so large and toxic. Their hate was a virus, spreading and infecting the gifted people of the world. The woman in charge is unknown.

Eventually a man named James A. Baker, in 1942, suggested that an Academy were to be made to the train some of the world population's gifted. They would be sent off to the academy at age fifteen and trained till they were twenty, and it worked. The future generations managed to give back Canada its stolen land and kept the Republic at bay.

But after what happened to Manhattan, I knew nothing would be the same
