Imagine That... è un dramma a sfondo psicologico,  L'alcolismo, la violenza psicologica vista con gli occhi di una bambina e del suo amico immaginario Sam. 
A 12 anni pensavo esistessero solo due tipi di persone, 
quelli che volevano curarmi, e quelli che si preoccupavano per la mia anima. 
Avrei imparato con il passare degli anni che in quelle due categorie vi erano racchiuse altre categorie di persone, e che al di fuori di esse vi erano, seppur rare, quelle persone che riuscivano a capirmi davvero.
