After the Youngblood chronicles took place the band fall out boy (almost) pretended it never happened (except for Patrick's prosthetic hand falling off from time to time) and everything seemed normal. Patrick had started a family of his own but the only rule was to if you were going to play music you must tell Patrick before doing so. His bandmates knew of why but, they always kept it a secret, for to protect Patrick's daughter. Well once she has had enough by the age of fifth teen she starts to look for clues of why is her dad missing a hand? And why must he block out all music? This results in a hell of a journey, after the chronicles.

When strange killings occur around the city Patrick comes face to face with a vampire but this wasn't exactly the kind of excitement he had wished for.
