The end of the world. Did I think it would happen? No, of course not. But being the idiotic human species that we are, we attempted to go past what is physically and scientifically possible. We can't prevent death, it's inevitable. And even though many people tried to tell all those stupid scientist this, of course no of them listened. Which ended 80% of the species of both animals and plants on our -now not so green- earth... Sam is your not-so-normal post-apocalypse teenage girl attempting to survive this now excruciatingly painful life, as well as deal with her own unknown abilities...

He frantically ran out of the laboratory with black eyes, black veins, and disgusting purple liquid seeping out of his mouth. I gasped and his head snapped towards where my mom and I were sitting. "Sam... Run." Mom tells me but I can't move, "GO!" she yells, snapping me out of my trance I then get up and start running just as my dad reaches my mom. I look ahead of me and just keep running. Until I hear her scream.

The apocalypse came; firstly only with the side effects of another world war, the radioactive making people sick and poisoning the air and food, but then the zombies came. Not The Last {Rough Draft}
~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out. I'm well known as The Bad Ass for reasons that are kind of obvious once you meet me. Maybe that's why they're after me? Because I'm a Bad Ass? Nope, I doubt that. "I can't lose you like I've lost everyone else" I say, something inside of him clicks and his eyes turn angry "You have no idea what loss is" he says through clenched teeth. The tears in my eyes finally overflow and they fall down my cheeks faster than I want them to "Everyone that I have cared for has either died or left me" i pause and glare at him "Everyone-" I shove him back "-fucking except for you" I sob. He straightens and glares at me "So don't tell me that'd I'd be safer with someone else, because the truth is I'd just be more scared" my voice breaks at the end. ****** Ellie is an 18 year old girl who was born into the apocalypse, her and her best friend Riley get bit, they both freak out and don't know what to do. Riley dies not even a day later, but Ellie doesn't which confuses her. She goes to her mother's friend Marlene who helps her out by taking her to two smugglers, Joel and Tess, who are instructed to take her to a group of Fireflies who can reverse engineer a cure for the infected. Joel is in his late 40's, he was there when the apocalypse started and has suffered ever since, until he meets Ellie and his entire perspective on life changes. He finds that over time he begins to have feelings for Ellie, he wants to protect her and shelter her from this horrible life. Can Ellie and Joel save the world? BOOK 1 OF THE BIG BAD WOLF SERIES: "R-Roman, stop," He lingers on each kiss, teasing me with his tongue. Sparks erupt. "You make me so damn angry," He says huskily, fanning his warm breath on my neck, making another shiver course through me. He places a kiss right below my ear, and I visibly shudder. He notices. He starts attacking the spot with his lips, and I bite my lip hard trying hard to not let the moan escape me. I involuntarily close my eyes. Everywhere he touches me sparks erupt. He starts sucking on the spot. "R-Roman, pl-please, st-top," I push lightly on his chest, but he doesn't even flinch. I didn't want this to happen, not when he was just being a total asshole 2 seconds ago. "Roman," I practically moan out his name. He starts gently biting me, and I melt into him. I put my hands on his shoulders and push him again, slightly harder this time, but as he keeps attacking my neck, I feel as though all the energy has been drained from me. "You're mine," he says huskily in between kisses. I self consciously nod. "Only mine-" He starts kissing and sucking my jaw, and I refrain from letting out a moan. "And you'll never talk to Dimitri or any of the warriors again." I open my eyes wide at his comment, and I push him back with all my strength. *** They said the Big Wolf was bad... They said no one could tame him... That his heart was made of ice... That he couldn't love anyone and no one could love him. His pack was ruthless... Killed without a second thought.
