As a way to better myself as a writer I've decided to challenge myself this October.
This book will begin on October 1st and end of October 31st.
Everyday I will push myself to write and publish a chapter. I honestly do not know where this book is going, what will happen, or how it will end. But that is a journey we can take together!
Since this is the month of October there will be a spooky, Halloween spirit, twist to this story.
This challenge was inspired by a friend of mine, who wants to better herself as an artist, participating in Gore-tober. I went searching for a writer's verse and, when I was unable to find one, I ended up creating one myself!

Michael Myers: Final Girl
He lunged forward and grabbed the neck of her shirt, pulling her upwards. He couldn't stand to hear her regret her innocence. It was something he had always cherished about her, and he wouldn't accept that that monster had made her question it. He searched her eyes for it desperately, he needed to see that she was still in there. The thought that the world would tarnish the one thing he cared about was killing him. He released his grip as that last thought sunk in, but stood where he was. This new realization was almost terrifying to him. All those confusing feelings, the pit in his stomach when he watched her cry and the way he couldn't seem to stay away from her, that strange desire he had. It all started to make sense. He cared. "Michael," she said softly. The sound of his name dripping from her lips was something he had no idea he craved so badly. "Show me how to do it." He tilted his head in question. "Show me how to kill him." Warnings: Violence, gore, etc. it's Michael Myers so it can't be avoided Domestic Violence Possible NSFW at some point?? The October Series
I wrote a scary story for each day of October. It was very fun, you can do it next year if you want, here are the rules: The October Series Rules For this Challenge. 2 TO 5 PAGES MAXIMUM Has to be a scary story or any sort of writing form that matches the theme of Halloween. Can only spend 20 minutes on each story, including editing times. Has to focus on the scary, not on character development. Coffin: The Story that lasted thirty-one days - Volume Two
This story will carry on where last years volume came to a close, it is a story of revenge, irony and vampire origin and evolution. The story is supported by media, in the form of pictures and videos which are selected concerning a word or phrase contained in the chapter, giving it an alternate dimension. The story grows over the thirty-one days of October 2019, but will not be limited to 31 words per chapter as per Volume 1. However, each chapter begins with an opening poetic stanza, containing 31 words of daily acrostic prose. Each day the acrostic prose will begin with the succeeding letter of the story's title, 'The Story that Lasted Thirty-One Days', hence the first day will begin with a 'T' and the last an 'S', a total of Thirty-One. It was quite a challenge the story is circa 15K words and each chapter has an average of circa 480 words, each was written day-to-day throughout the thirty-one of October, so you can expect to find mistakes, but editing and update will continue to correct any errors. The story begins with 'The story so far' and 'Incarceration', creating a prologue of Volume 1, 2018 from which the story evolved.
