NATURE REBEL

If I were death
I will not give birth

If I were the grave
I will not harbour the brave

If I were mystery
I will fashion its mastery

If I were daylight
I will not create night

If I were time
I will walk with a rewind

If I were pride
I will not own a bride

If I were pain
I will cease to reign

If I were air
I will always be fair

If I were sun
I will not hurt or burn

If I were song
I will cleave to every tongue

If I were bondage
I will not hold any hostage

If I were war
I will not be brutal and raw

If I were sorrow
I will not strike like an arrow

If I were question
I will not create tension

If I were failure
I will keep a limited tenure

If I were poverty
I will vanish at puberty

If I were tribulation
I will invent jubilation

If I were a woman
I will create a new man

If I were beauty
I will not, of any charges, be found guilty

If I were life
I will give all a safe drive

If I were nature
I will deny no man his future
