This story takes place before the great war of the geth and quarians on Rannoch. Whereas the quarians could rome without enviro-suits or helmets. All fans of the gaming franchise, Mass Effect, know well the loyal and trustworthy (except kinda near the end of Mass Effect 3's take back Rannoch scenario) geth companion, Legion.
For he is the main Protagonist of this fan-fiction. For those who have not heard of the series, there is some insight I put up on my profile if you are interested in what actually going on here in the setting. (Spoiler Alert for new Mass Effect 1-3 Players) Play the video for good back up music during the chapter.

Earth has Fallen, it's as simple as it states. Ten years prior, They came. The Tephra, came to Earth intending to take over the life baring Planet. A humanoid species more advanced in weaponry, skills and knowledge than the Human race; looked to make it their home. Countries leaders refused to allow such a thing to happen and war soon ensued. Countless lives wasted to the attack when peace and coexistence could have been an option. Human's, losing, resorted to no other option then chemical warfare. Lieth was born in Scottland and migrated to America as a child when she was ten years old, Ten years before the invasion. She was now 30yrs old. The chemical used in the war completely altered her genetic makeup. She stopped growing upon becoming infected and the effects were permanent. The chemical also caused her hair roots to stain a deep green hue giving her a more inhuman hair color. Her eyes defined her the most. They were a brilliant shade of Ember, like flames in a fire. Kaija was Heir to his Father's Reine. The Tephra were a very tall, fit, Agile and fast, clearly built for hunting. They also stopped aging once they hit adult-hood. Dying only due to sickness, accidents or being slain. Kai's hope was to hopefully unite both races, by force if needed. Kai had long white hair that went past his hips. His skin was a tannish cream tone, a scar over his left eye. He had an agile black tail that was adorned in gold armor. Long pointed elf-like ears. He wore black armor with gold trimming that was protective against attacks of any kind, but was very light making it easy for him to move around. Armored boots adorned with climbing spikes and gloves that exposed his razor-sharp claws. The most distinctive feature of all was the golden skill mask he wore that shown is crystalline blue hues. The Phoenix
The Reaper attack on the Citadel has been thwarted, and in reward, Shepard is sent to root out the vestiges of the geth that were loyal to Saren. Like a good and loyal Spectre, she accepts the assignment... albeit begrudgingly. She expects it to be a quiet endeavour; something that the Council hopes will keep her warning of the incoming Reaper invasion away from their ears, but she gets far more than she ever bargained for, and a course change she could never have expected.
