The Sea Warrior and The Spider Soldier have been instruments of H.Y.D.R.A. as long as they could remember. Literally. Their minds are wiped of memories because their past keeps surfacing from the buried parts of their minds.
Their lives are a never-ending routine of wake up, eat breakfast, get experimented on, take a few physical and mental tests, go on a mission and kill people, come home, take a cold shower, and go back to sleep.
Until the new recruits arrive. The two assassins can't fight the memories resurfacing, no matter how many memory wipings. But every time they try to escape, they're caught and punished severely. How can they escape their prison?

Everything's different now, after the Giant War. So even after arriving home Percy can't tell anyone the truth; not his mom, not his new, rather odd, neighbor, not the friends that he's afraid to be close to. But the truth always hurts and somehow, the truth always shows. Maybe it's a good thing that his new neighbor, Peter Parker, is just a little too observant. Or maybe it isn't. Meanwhile the world is changing. New threats have risen and been defeated. But people are disappearing, people are dying. And even the people who are supposed to be heroes can't stop this. But that's sort of the point. Now though the darkness which Peter has always managed to keep at an arm's length is right outside his front door. Right inside it. Peter can't lose anyone else. Percy can't lose anyone else. Both are sure that if they do they're bound to lose themselves. Now though loss isn't and if but a when. Not a when but how much. Neither of them plan on getting out of this one. Both are sure that there must be someone at fault. But innocence and guilt mean nothing in this blame game, because with all this hurt, with all this death, with all this pain, isn't everyone somehow to blame? And maybe they aren't so different, Peter and Percy. Maybe they can find a way to work together, fight together, stop this together. Maybe together they can find a way to get out of this one, find a way to save even those who don't want to be saved. Or maybe they can't. Loki does not appear in this story but has been forgiven for his attack on Earth upon discovering he was mind-controlled. The Stark Tower is under reconstruction to become the Avengers Tower. The war is over, but Percy's tribulations are not. After him and his friends get their rewards for their parts in the war, Percy is visited by a familiar Primordial in his dreams. An oath is made, a secret is kept, and the age-old phrase comes to pass. It really does get worse before it gets better. But it gets so, so much better. Annabeth and Percy sitting in a tree, but they're not kissing 'cause she thinks he's a creep. Annabeth has no memory on her experiences with Percy, all while he struggles with trying to help her remember, but she really isn't making it easy. He's struggling with nightmares as she sleeps peacefully. He's missing her by his side as she talks to people her mother would ACTUALLY approve of. He's sad, while she seems to smile brighter. He can't focus at all while she's in the same exact room, unaffected by his presence. His time at Goode really wasn't good. So is bringing her memories back really worth it? The war did affect both of them, mentally and physically. As hard as they try to lead a normal life, things always seem to escalate and they come face to face with monsters. But the latest events made monster attacks look like sparring challenges. Annabeth and Percy are enjoying an evening at the beach when red alert is sounded. Seems like a camper has gone missing. Who? But it is not only about a missing camper. Turns out it is not at all about a missing camper. This is something deeper, which will bring Percabeth more closer to death than they have ever been.....
