Born in the Amell Kingdom, a country where everyone is a nen practitioner and has it's borders closed, rarely to be opened, 10 year old, nen prodigy, Adira Adler dream is to see, explore and experience the world outside her birth place.

A rare opportunity for her to do so arises when her mother decided that she will take the Hunter Exam outside of the Kingdom. But there was a catch, she had to go about taking the exam without utilizing her nen so she can improve her physical strength!

As Adira participates in a different venue of the Hunter Exam (that to her kingdom), she meets Gon Freecs, an innocent boy who wants to become a Hunter to find his father; Killua Zoldyck, an assassin prodigy who came to the Hunter Exam just for the fun of it; Kurapika Kurta, who wants to become a Blacklist Hunter to take vengeance for his late clan members; and Leorio Paradinight, who wants to become a Hunter for money.
