"Is there anything else I can do for you, Your Highness?" "No, Kendall, that will be all." Kendall rounded the corner, running straight into me. "Oh..." She whispered, staggering to pick up her things. "My apologies, Your Highness." "It's nothing to worry about, Kendall, no harm done." I grab a locket that she had been clutching, only to have it snatched out of my hand. It was strange, I thought, as she trotted away. Kendall always had a brisk pace about her, a need to go-go-go, while Anastasia took her time. The go-go-go suddenly made so much more sense, as I realized that Kendall's sweet scent of melon and pine was not that at all. Kendall smelled of magic. Tribal magic. The kind that was strictly forbidden.

Forced to flee at the hands of their curse, the quest for refuge lead them past countless places, leaving whispers and legends in their wake. Finally, a safe haven was found and peace returned once more. But centuries later, the natural course of this story takes a sharp turn when a lavender-eyed girl arrives to disrupt their means of life in more ways than they could have ever foreseen.
