Twenty year old Chloe Pierce was forced to put her life on hold to take care of her younger brother. She doesn't have custody, but it sure feels like it. Her mother does nothing. She just lays in bed all day and drinks while her stepfather sells drugs right at the their doorstep. At seventeen Chloe was forced to move from her home in New York to a small town in Northern Georgia. She hates it, but makes it work so that she can save up enough money to save her brother and herself from their messed up lives. Daryl Dixon's never had a stable home and has chosen to live the drifter lifestyle with his older brother Merle. Merle isn't the greatest influence and Daryl knows it, he just needed to get out of town away from his messed up childhood. When the two stumble upon a small town in Georgia they are taken in by Travis Scott who gives them a job and a place for them to stay. Chloe can't stand Daryl and Merle from the minute they step inside her house, and she has no problem voicing her opinion about the brothers. At each others throats constantly Chloe starts having intense feelings towards Daryl that she can't shake. He seems to always be there to save her in some way, and she is no damsel in distress. Both Chloe and Daryl are stubborn, but can't seem to stay away from each other. When the people around them start finding out about their relationship their lives become complicated, leaving Daryl with the only choice he can make.
