Adam, Mark and Susan made their way through a long hallway. Royal pictures were pinned to the wall securely, which glared darkly at them. After a long, exhausting walk, they came to a dim screen, plastered with many flashing particles. Stepping into the new world, they started floating slightly, and felt a contagious chill run down their spines. This is when they found out they were in deep space.

Reliths
They're hunting us and we're on the run. We're always on the run and it's getting tiring but we can't stop. Not after I promised them that we would not be caught. Liam and Chloe were born with two different abilities which is extremely rare as most people are born with only one ability. With the looming war with the other realms in sight, the government has formed a new organisation to recruit reliths who are people with two abilities to train them and to fight in the war. People have been trying to escape the hands of the organisation as they have learnt about what they do to the reliths. The reliths go through various experiments in order to enhance their abilities. It usually ends with the reliths dying. Even if they made it through the experiments, they had to suffer with the beatings they received to make them tougher . This could be it. I quickly start to look around the place before the torture starts. Every piece of information I can get stands out to me as my mind connects the pieces. Brianna also seems jumpy as she watches Raphael get up to look at the farthest door where the other passengers came from. Raphael takes a surprised step back as he looks through the small window again. He slowly turns around and his face is pale as he says, "The other part of the subway is gone." "What?!" A tall man says with wide eyes. "No! That's impossible! We just came from there!" The rest of them nervously look around as Ben gets up to look through the window of the conductor's room. Michelle gets up to see what Raphael keeps seeing and Brianna lets out a nervous pant. "There's no conductor." I stand at this and my blood falls to my feet. Frantic looks go around the place and nervous voices fill our ears along with the scrapping sound of the subway. I turn around to look at the other passengers and my eyes catch the red lights from the moving letters on one part of the roof. I gulp and sweat starts down my neck as I read its bright letters. I entered the cave and saw a red crystal sealed in ice. "Woah." I whispered. The crystal glowed and the ice shattered. I jumped back and fell to the ground, watching as the ice broke completely. My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain. "Well, whatever you do, I'm sure it'll be great," he said, his smile lingering. "You deserve to have an amazing time." His words made me blush a little, and I was about to reply when I felt that familiar prickle on the back of my neck. I glanced toward the corner, where Mr. Whiskey Guy was sitting. Only this time, his gaze wasn't just lingering. It was burning. His eyes were locked on Mark, sharp and intense, and for the first time, I felt a real chill. There was something different about him now, something I couldn't quite name, but it sent a ripple of unease through me. I was about to look away, when he slowly shook his head at me, his eyes burning with something that looked closest to anger. It looked like a warning, and I froze, staring back at him, as he tiled his head, watching me intensely. The fuck? "You okay?" Mark asked, his voice pulling me back to the present. "Yeah," I said, forcing a smile. "Just got a little distracted." Mark nodded, his expression softening as he leaned a little closer. "Well, if you need a break or want to chat, I'm around." He reached out and lightly touched my hand, his fingers brushing mine for just a second, but it was enough to snap me out of the moment. Because across the room, I heard the sharp scrape of a chair against the floor. I looked up, my heart skipping a beat. He was now on his feet, his jaw clenched so tightly I could see the muscle twitch. His eyes, dark, angry, met mine for the briefest moment, and I swear the air in the room thickened. He didn't say a word, but it made me feel like I fucked up big time. Without a word, he stormed out, the door slamming behind him with a bang that made everyone in the bar pause for a second.
