Carmen is a normal teenage girl. Or as normal as she can be since her father left as soon as her mother was diagnosed with cancer.

Jackson comes from a big, highly religious family. His parents are in enough trouble trying to deal with him and his siblings, let alone how much they wouldn't be able to understand him. He's been reluctant to come out to his parents, not sure that they would understand. But when a new boy comes to school, can he keep his feelings under wraps for much longer?

Nick's love life is non-existent. His sister, Lily, constantly pesters and teases him for having a crush on his best friend. Things only get worse when he discovers that his mom is pregnant.

Lily has kept tabs on everyone in school for as long as she can remember. She's known as a cupid, since she's made some of the best couples at the school. But lately, a guy in her calc class has been giving her looks. The feeling of love if certainly there, but does he feel the same way?

Austin is new to the school and has no idea what he's in for. He has to survive being the new kid while still trying to keep his GPA.
