Duskkit, a young she-kit born of the great Skyclan deputy Tigersnarl, and the beautiful and elegant queen Freckleleap, is the weakling among her three brothers, Wolfkit, Dapplekit and Darkkit, but when push comes to shove she chooses the path of a medicine cat's apprentice, yet something calls her to be a warrior, and nightly visits from a strange Shadowclan tom lead her on to create her own destiny, her legacy.
