In the same way she hides her face behind her mask, Amy Collins hides the truth of her past.
Why do people do what they do? Just because somebody does bad things, doesn't make them a bad person, does it? Doing a good thing doesn't necessarily make you a good person, right? Things aren't always so black and white.
Amy is Violet and Violet is a villain. Born into a family of villains, she's given no choice but to steal and lie to survive. Or is she? Violet is finally taken down by the city's one and only hero, Timestop, but she never makes it to Obsidian Tower Maximum Security Prison that tortures people like her for the things they've done.
Timestop disagrees with the torturous ways of the prison and wants to make a statement: people can change. He decides to use the well-known villain, Violet, to make his statement and sets out to convince her that it's not too late to start over.
Will Violet be the next hero, or will she continue her with villainous ways?
Will Timestop be able to save Violet from her unfortunate fate?

Through the darkness, the computer screen illuminated the pale skin of Adelae's face around the black mask. Scrolling through the submitted questions, she came across one that made her smile. "Dear Lady Shade," She read aloud to herself. "Why did you choose to be a villain instead of a hero?" She chuckled, shaking her head at the simple, loaded question, before selecting it and opening the page to write a reply. "Hello Blogger KittyStan41. I bet you're expecting the classic tragic backstory in response to this question." she typed. " Dead parents, treated like trash as a kid, and it all came to a choice between rising to defeat my inner demons or succumbing to them. Well, my real answer is possibly something you haven't considered about the world of Heroes and Villains. Answer this for me, what is the goal of a hero? To make the world a better place, perhaps? No, dear KittyStan41. The classic goals of the Hero might seem epic and noble, but in the end it all comes down to stopping the Villain. What kind of life is that, when your only goals derive from the actions of someone else? Your whole life is used up as a preventative measure. Now does that sound like a good way to live? "I chose to be a villain not because I enjoy hurting people, but because I have goals that I plan to achieve. Don't bother asking what they are. If I told you, everyone would know, and people (baby heroes) would get in the way. Then how would I achieve them? I aspire to more. Is there need for a better reason?"

Violet was happy, in love, and had a successful career. She was even hoping to start her own family with her beloved husband. However, all of those dreams are crushed when she comes home to find her husband brutally murdered. Things only get worse as the killer has to clean up their mess and can't just leave Violet as a witness to their crime. Things only get crazier as Violet finds herself reincarnated into another world full of monsters and magic. Only, Violet isn't a powerful adventurer or a talented craftsman. Instead, she finds herself in charge of her own dungeon where she must summon monsters and plan traps to bring the adventurers to their knees. Violet just wants to mourn her lost love and enjoy some peaceful scenery. However, cute slimes and playful pixies aren't usually what one would expect when traversing a dungeon full of traps with death waiting around every corner. Can Violet make peace with her bitter end? Can the cute and seemingly harmless monsters that roam her dungeon protect her? Read on to find out! ---------- This is meant to be a companion story to my "The Dangerously Cute Dungeon" series. However, I plan to write it in such a way that it can also be read by itself. The chapters will be very short at roughly 500 - 1,000 words each and they will only feature Violet's POV written as a diary entry. Please note that while there will be descriptions of the dungeon, there will be no system prompts. The point is to describe the character's feelings and journey as a dungeon master in another world rather than having LitRPG elements. Book One Available On Amazon KU

The Gun For Hire's Bounty

35 parts Ongoing

Tempest has no human bone in her body. She is devoid of all emotions, making her 'job' as a guns-for-hire easy- at least, that's what the heroes call it. She doesn't see it as a job but as a lifestyle. After all, that is all she's ever been surrounded by. Blood, money, drugs, psychos, more blood and money. Blood money. All of that shit. The only problem is that the heroes disagree with her so-called 'lifestyle' and start a special task force in her name called D. O. A. Best known as the operation Dead. Or. Alive. The person specifically tasked to bring her in is none other than the great hero, Phoenix. He is best known for his smarts, good looks, and being a virtuous savior. But among people like Tempest, he is known as another overpowered, overrated hero no one can escape. Not even those blessed with super speed or teleportation can escape him. So, it should be effortless for him to catch her since she has no superhuman abilities. Except it's not. Tempest has a deadly virus no scientist, no government, no god can ever get rid of. So, when she finds out she is being hunted down by not only the hero society but the face of it, she turns to biological warfare. The few other people with the disease would never dare to do something like that, but Tempest would. If it guarantees her coming out on top, she will.
