Just In Time

He looked me straight in the eye for what felt like hours. It felt like he was staring into my soul. And in an eerie Mexican accent, he said,

"You're going to die."

In that split second, a nasty chill ran up my spine and down again. I know I was being bold, calling out somebody I just met like that but there was something about what he said, maybe it was the way he said it or the ice in his voice and stare when he said it. But I knew then and there that Icey over here was trouble. But he's up for a challenge if he thinks I'll ever back down without a fight.
