Amethyst, a 13-year-old girl, has her life a mess. Not to mention that she was born in a family of elementals.

Yeah, about that... she lives in a world of elemental magic. Elementals have stories about them and people believe them, except for people who never heard of them. We have our own society too, where the more respected, fire and water elements, are at the top while earth and air are beneath them. Though it doesn't mean we're all bad. Ordinary citizens just don't know where we are when they try to find us.

In reality, we live among them like normal people and we hide our powers from them, only using them at home or when it's just other elementists. Our dear Amethyst was born into a family of fire elementals, depending on the day she was born and her family's element. She was born August 27, making her have a chance at being the first earth elemental in her family, not entirely a good thing, if she had any powers at all that is.

Nope, she wasn't born with elemental magic, period. But she did spend most of her time in the forest.

That is until a silver locket changed her life.

Yet again Darkness is hungry for a war to end it all, but Light will always have troops at the ready. One girl. One kingdom. Eleven friends. Four Elements. No biggie. * I'm Melody, hybrid freak, nice to meet you, strange muggle who I know nothing about. I used to be like you, cluelessly ignorant and uninvolved with the outside world. You know, they have a big, yellow ball of gas in the sky. Weird. Anyway my life became something out of a bad Si-Fi movie, and no, Nicolas Cage isn't in it (sadly). There are two forces in the world, Light and Darkness, and when you side with Light, Darkness gets a stick up its ass and wants you to suffer. My friends and I, we roll with Light, you must know where that leads.... I have a kingdom to learn, powers to master, loud friends to keep in line, a boy that I'm messed up over, and above it all, Darkness to show whose boss. Not as easy as you might think, but this is MY story, and I know how it ends. Being a loyal follower of Light shows me the beauty in life and the devastation it can cause. Don't get me wrong, I love Light, but Darkness makes it hard to stay and fight. * Melody is weird. She's childish. She's awkward. And she's got boy issues she needs to work out. Mel will face evil like no other, but can she do it? Will the scales of Light and Darkness finally be tipped? How can one girl make a difference? This is Melody, a corky teenager, and she wants you to read her story. Like now. Enjoy! Highest rank- #69 in Fantasy (Still cant believe it!!)

Far far away, in a planet similar as Earth, there lived a human race. The skies are as blue as it is on Earth. The soil as dry and damp as the soils on earth. The water, is as clear and salty as it is on Earth. The people, they breath and function like the humans on the Blue Planet. But unlike any other race, the people here are a mixture of element manipulators, called gifted and not gifted ones. Jade is a sixteen year old girl of Felran. Just an average, not an element manipulator. Everything about her life is normal but she liked being so. She's bent on wanting to continue living with no gifts attached. She knows that being gifted is troublesome. And it makes you act bossy and cold. Just like what her parents is. But fate has different plans because she discovered that she is not what she thinks she is. As much as she dislikes the idea, Jade is gifted.
