Tiller encounters a travelling circus on her nightly round of walking. Unsure of what she will find, she hides in some boxes and watches every show scheduled for her town, until she is discovered and offered a chance at a new life... a new beginning.
She meets sketchy characters like the mysterious Cleaver and invidious people like Feather. Unlocking a new world, she wonders if it is all worth it in the end.
