The Knives of My Mind
I'm recently writing a book and to start out, I'm trying out my reach through a favorite app of mine. The title will be the same but I just want to get some reach. This is a book I've composed over the course of me going through my feelings, my grueling healing process and the depressive emotions I've went through before I started healing. This is My Life
I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! These labels do not define us. Those judgments do not blind us of our true self. We know deep down that we are different but some people hide that.
