Shakily, I peered into the darkness, my eyes scanning the surrounding area.
Softly, and before I knew what I was doing, I called out:
"H...Hello...! Is a-anyone there...?!" I was greeted with a whistle in the wind.
Until I turned to face the forest.
It was...A little difficult to see. The forest was always dark but I could've sworn I saw a small flicker of movement. A shape.
Someone or something was there. Watching me. As I was watching them now.
A lump formed in my throat. I couldn't breathe. And I didn't move.
I dared not. As though they would appear in front of me if I even dared move a muscle.
Nothing else existed.
Just them.
And me.
Now that time has went on, I suppose I am happy I saw him in the forest.
