I don't notice that Mason stopped laughing until I look up and see him staring at a small square picture frame in his hands. I jump up from my seat on the floor, curiosity getting the better of me and walk over to see what he seems to be so interested in. "Is this your family?" He says in a low whisper only for me to hear. I look down to see the picture he's holding is of a family of 3, a mother, father, and daughter. All wearing identical smiles on their faces. The father being dressed in a black long sleeve button up and gray denim pants standing next to the mother with his arm wrapped around her wearing a yellow sundress with matching heels. Lastly the daughter standing in front of them both probably the age of 12 in a blue dress decorated in white butterflies. I don't realize I had been crying staring at the picture until I feel a hot liquid slide down my cheek. I wipe it away and grab the picture from his hands putting it back into the closet shelf. "Movies anyone?" I say trying my hardest not to glance at Mason's calculating eyes as if he's trying to solve an puzzle. 30 minutes pass and we're already halfway through the movie but I haven't been paying attention as memories from that night come flashing back. My mouth speaks before my brain gets the chance to think and I say something I thought I would never have to come to face with. "I didn't cry."All Rights Reserved
