Counting is one of the basic things people were taught to learn. It was only up until ten numbers, at first, until another ten was added, then another, and another, until we memorized everything upto one-hundred. Then we learned that numbers are actually infinite and doesn't just start from zero or one and neither does it end to one hundred. Lucas Pacifico never liked numbers and his parents understood. He and counting doesn't mix well. Like how a person with pollen allergy and a bouquet of flower does. Ironically, as much as numbers never end, when he counts, something vanishes and reaches its limit. Like when you've finished counting upto three while playing hide and seek. But someone else finds them, not him. Then they're never seen again.
