In the winter, sophomores Sam and Piper were just classmates. They knew of each other, but never really officially met. They were mutual friends, who longed to meet each other. In the spring, they were best friends. And much to Piper's dismay, they stayed that way. Piper was falling for him, fast and hard. Slightly an outsider, Sam was all the excitement Piper needed. But in the summer, Piper's family was relocated to Colorado because of her father's job. In the summer, everything changed. Piper and Sam lost touch. They didn't text anymore. All was silent. At the end of the summer, Piper's father proposed to his girlfriend, and they moved back. When Piper returns back to Riverside Hills, Ohio, she decides to change herself. She becomes the complete opposite of herself. But when she runs into Sam, she realizes that he has changed, too. And of course, persistent Piper is just what he needs to return to his old self.
