INSPIRED FROM TRUE EVENTS| Mystery| Horror Thriller| Short Story| Halloween| Psychological "Ms Erdem!" the receptionist calls out from her desk. I knock at the door before stepping inside Dr Amrani's office. "Ms Erdem! It's nice to meet you. Please have a seat," he gestures to the sofa chair across his desk. "Call me Esra," I say as I take the seat. "I hope the wait wasn't too long Esra. So tell me, what brings you here?" the doctor steeples his fingers on the desk and gives a big smile. "Soooo, I have a problem. I think... I think my days go missing!" He quirks an eyebrow at me in confusion. "I know. I know it sounds crazy, but... hear me out." Word Count: 1900

I am Ved Mishra, the most sought-after detective in Delhi but a case has left me on the dead end. Ansh Awasthy, a twenty-five year old man who is born with a silver spoon suddenly goes missing on a Thursday evening when he had gone for a walk. I am suspecting few people. I am trying to find the clue about his whereabouts but I am not able to find anything worthwhile. Join me in this saga of errors where I will try to find out the mystery of that horrifying silhouette and disappearance of Ansh Awasthy, a brat who has perhaps, made a huge error disturbing someone's life who in turn made another irredeemable error.
