The Doctor - the Oncoming Storm; the last Time Lord; destroyer of Gallifrey; the hopeless wanderer.
Annabelle Pond - one of the many who wish to see the stars; one of the few who've gotten the chance to encounter the strange rareties of the universe; clever, witty, and slightly smart-mouthed; the Doctor's newest companion.
Maybe it's the newly discovered second heart, or maybe the paradoxal picture he finds of a younger her, but the Doctor feels it's his job to take Annabelle along with him. Besides the threat of, at times, the pair being the most wanted beings in the universe, they travel across time and space, righting wrongs, diminishing evils, popping in for visits.
While encountering old and new enemies of the Doctor, Annabelle finds out the truth of her unusual past a little bit at a time. For instance, how come she's able to remember the creatures that erase themselves from the memory of each living thing they're seen by? And why does it seem that almost every band of aliens they meet want to use her? - for what, she doesn't even know. What could be so peculiar about a thirteen year old?
The Doctor vows to figure out all his questions: How does Annabelle know who River Song is? Why do all the evil-doers he's ever met want her on their side? And, the biggest question of all, why doesn't the Doctor remember his own daughter?
The Doctor has met someone.
Not just any someone.
No, this someone claims she is a Time Lord, a Gallifreyan who escaped the Time War and Gallifrey's disappearance, and has hidden herself on Earth. She is bitter, resentful, and has many secrets she refuses to share.
But those secrets haunt her, and The Doctor feels an urge to understand, to help her, the girl so lost she doesn't even remember her true name.
Can he help the lost child, or will her terrors and memories overwhelm him, until he's as lost as she is?
I do not own Doctor Who, only the characters I myself have created.
