My life was terrible. I was a sixteen year old girl, growing up with no mother. She had left me and my dad when I was only six years old, or so I had been told.
I received a letter which invited me to stay the summer at my mother's place, which was across the Atlantic ocean. Along the journey I was pushed off a cruise ship, and into some of the coldest waters Imaginable.
It was then that I entered a new world. My mother's world. My mother lived in some place that was under the water and sat right above the earths core. Only certain people could live there, because you had to have special heat repellant skin. I had that. I was a Kawivian. Here, in Kawivia it was like paradise, and I never wanted to leave, although there were dangers lurking in the dark. Dangers that called my name. If I stayed, I would be in danger. If I left, I would leave everyone else (including the one boy who I couldnt help but fall in love with) in danger. It all would come down to this one choice.

This is my memoir. As such, I am letting you in on the most intimate parts of me. No glib opinion piece or a well-thought-out theory, this. It's me. I come with a warning. No child under eighteen should read any part of my story. It is raw. It is ugly. There are issues exposed here that could negatively affect young minds. Life has equally blessed and cursed me. My journey has been at best an uphill climb, at worst, a descent into pure evil. I thought long and hard about sharing it. I filled this thinking time with distractions and with words. The flurry of uploaded pieces prior to it has equally been an avoidance of the inevitable and a timid approach - a testing of the waters... My sons tell me I tend to use long and at times difficult words. They suggest I go back and make my writing easier to understand. Use simpler words: "No one's going to read this mum, it's too complicated!" I try and explain to them that the words emerge without me thinking them. A difficult concept for two adolescent boys who read, but do not write, to understand: "I have no control over what emerges. I know what I want to say but beyond that, the words appear of their own accord." This is no linear story. I meander back and forth through situations and people. It's what I do in reality. I leave trail after trail of 'unfinishedness'. This is not a word to be found in any dictionary, but it best describes my journey. ... Interwoven between the horrors of childhood sexual abuse and family violence, between the addictions and the awful behaviors repeated over and over, beyond the final devastation and within the rebirth of this me, lingers a love-story with no ending. *A HUGE thank you to NGC-224 for creating the new cover. She accepted a penguin as payment. We have lots of penguins downunder, pheww!

[MALE READER IN REVERSE 1999] - 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 FANFIC "𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝙣𝙤 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙬" ---------------------✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸-------------------- It can be challenging to get used to the behaviour of the people in this era but it's important to remember that they are just trying to survive in their own unique way. You never know what they're going through, and a little kindness goes a long way. Time travelling can be quite an experience. It is fascinating to see how things were in the past. For instance, it may be difficult to understand why people behave in certain ways or communicate with different accents, like Ring. Therefore, keep an open mind and embrace the possibility of learning something new. With the right attitude and determination, one can navigate through these challenges and make the most out of this time travelling adventure. There are always those who do not seem to understand the gravity of the situation. Y/N may be an arcanist, or perhaps something else entirely. However, Y/N's disregard for the seriousness of time travel can have devastating consequences. His attitude may lead to disastrous results, and it is impossible to protect the timeline from his reckless behavior. Every decision he makes is like the butterfly's effect where a single flap can cause the 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘀𝘁 on the other side of the world. So beware, for Y/N may be your saving grace... or the undoing of this universe as you know it. We stand in silence, as I sip my water, and he watches me do it. Finally, he breaks the silence. "I'm sorry if I... offended you by sleeping in your bed last night. This morning. Whatever." "It's fine. You didn't do anything." He nods, his eyes far away, as if thinking of how to word his views. "I didn't do anything... but I wanted to. I wanted to so badly." I nearly choke on my water. I don't know what's worse; his confession, or how nonchalantly he says it, as if he's reading the weather. "Come again?" I say, thinking that I must have heard him wrong. He shrugs. "I want to fuck you." Again, he is as nonchalant as ever. I just stare stupidly, my mouth agape. He closes my mouth, grinning at me, wicked intentions in his eyes. Not so nonchalant anymore, I see. "Um, I-I...I don't..." I stop talking, realising what a total idiot I sound like, while his grin broadens. In that second, I am grateful for my dark skin, as he can't see me blushing. "Tongue-tied?" My cheeks get hotter. "Shut the fuck up." He actually laughs. "Don't worry, honey," he says, his hot breath brushing against my face, shocking me. When did he get this close? "One day," he whispers, now in my ear,"I will fuck you." I realise that my eyes are closed and I open them. He's gone. I stand there frozen, in total shock. What the actual fuck just happened? *** When all you know is disappointment, you become your own best friend. You isolate yourself from everyone else. You need no one; love is a weakness. That's the case with me. Then, Prince Charming rides in and changes everything. Except, he isn't a prince. He is light, but he holds darkness; he is joy, but he knows pain; he is beauty, but within him is imperfection and ugliness. He is just like me, but he is also my opposite. He is the Yin to my Yang. *** A lot of the original sexual content has been removed from this version, but the extra R rated one is also on my profile. *** •Mature, 18

*Warning ahead content contains animal abuse It was dimmed. I couldn't see. Oh, but I could smell. The sweet scents all around me. Then I smelled her. I immediately knew who she was. My mother. My creator. I went over to her screaming my way between my two siblings. Although I was just a puppy, I could recognize my surroundings. When I was finished drinking the milk from my mother, I moved away. I felt a hard surface underneath me. There were plenty of other scents too. One that smelled delicious. I also couldn't hear, but I could feel movement. I was removed from the hard surface and handed a much softer place. There were these weird bumps over the softer surface. It moved me around, and I was set back down in place on the floor. A couple of weeks passed though I couldn't feel it. Each day felt as if I was still a newborn. Time was not essential in my mind. As I got older, my senses started to sharpen. I could see and hear, but the one thing I couldn't see was color. All I saw was black and gray. My mother was very furry, but so was I. I would often smell her, and I liked how her scent smelled sweet. When I could, I would find food around a dumpster. We were learning more as we got older. I had two sisters and two brothers, as I was one of the girls. We spoke to each other often, my siblings and me. "Let's go, children." Mother said to us in a soft voice. We knew how to communicate. When we fought over food mother, would tell at us. I didn't like being in trouble. I was usually quiet. One day I learned the soft surface that I had encountered was a human hand. I had felt that same surface when a human came up to us. The human loaded all of us in their vehicle. We came upon this strange building. The human let us out in this strange building. There were many scents. I couldn't place them all at once. I concentrated on one specific scent. Strawberry. It smelled so sweet, and it started to hurt my nose.

I never thought it would end like this. I always thought I had a home. I always thought I had a family, but as it turns out, my past is darker than the lies they told me and the truth they kept from me.
