Asonium is a perfect town. It's so perfect it's actually boring. After living there for so long, there's nothing new to explore and no one new to talk to. At least, until recently. Something changed and now a select few are having the same dream over and over again only to realise... they're all in the same dream together. During day, strange things begin to happen - objects go missing or suddenly appear, scratches and calamari's are bound on doors and paths, things get broken and yet no one notices anything different. There's a darkness beginning to close in, and for some reason no one but this five can sense it. The only issue is, how do they stop it?

Chuck's studies in journalism lead to a dubious "opportunity" that he takes out of desperation. Once he and his colleagues arrive on the island of Soma, it's clear that something is off. The latter is confirmed once Chuck befriends a researcher who lives there. After a whirlwind string of hookups with this new friend, all hell breaks loose. Chuck is abducted, then held captive alongside five children. The group starts participating in a series of puzzle "scenarios", which results in Chuck winning an opportunity to speak face-to-face with the mastermind. As a result, Chuck becomes his ally, agreeing to follow his every command. In-between puzzles, Chuck finds a journal written by a man named Joseph. Chuck reads an entry aloud to the others, not thinking much of it at first. One night, however, Chuck meets Joseph in a dream, and he claims to know Chuck from somewhere. Chuck feels a magnetic attraction right away, and is utterly captivated by Joseph. In his dreams, Chuck finds escapism in the form of a budding romance. His waking life, however, continues with a sense of impending doom looming over him. He takes comfort in Joseph, clinging to him as his last sliver of hope. Loneliness begins to break down Chuck's sanity, blurring the lines between Joseph's dream world and the bunker Chuck is trapped in. Who is Joseph? What does he want, and what is he hiding? *** a/n: this is book 2 of the Tomorrow's Message series. 1. The Fear of Yesterday (publishing - Robin's POV) 2.
