Zombies, I never believed in them. They were the villains of pointless novels. But as I stare at the rotting carcass of a man before me, I had to face the reality that they were in fact real. A decade ago, when the dead started coming back to life. People were terrified and didn't know who or what to believe. Some blamed the government, some even blamed God.
I'd like to believe that I could trust people, even in extreme circumstances like this but hungry dogs are never loyal. My name is Alana Anderson and I'm immune to the zombie virus. It sounds even more ridiculous when I say it out loud. Sadly, Immunity isn't what everyone paints it to be. Ten teenagers including myself were given the cure to the zombie virus, what we do with that power is entirely up to us now.

~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three.
