All over the world, especially on the the Isles of Inkwell, the Devil is seen as a heartless, cold, and vicious creature feared by all! But no one on Inkwell knows why they just assume the Devil had started off in life with a black hole where his heart should've been. That's only half of the story though, there is another side of the Devil that no one, not even King Dice, has even seen.
There is someone no one has ever seen.
The secret (and person) becomes public knowledge however when the Devil loses the battle between Cuphead and Mugman he is forced back to Hell and is unable to go back to the mortal realm until he's fully healed.
The Devil was forced to leave his only son behind.
What will happen to the Devil and all of Inkwell with his son in the mortal realm?

Its been nearly 400 years since Cuphead and Mugman defeated the Devil and King Dice. The boys are gone along with many of the friends they made on their journey. The only ones who remain are the Devil, King Dice, and their immortal crew of soulless workers. With the death of the boys the devil felt brave enough to begin taking souls once more from his gambling wagers. He even felt brave enough to trick people out of their souls again. The isles had no hero's so why even stop there? The casino became a dangerous place for far more reasons than the possibility of losing your soul. It became a place for all of the dark and demented to flock to fulfill their darkest desires. Drugs, prostitution, counterfeiting. It was all in the devils casino and for the most part the devil liked it this way. He had control over it all and he got the souls of those who used his drugs, his women and his fake money or even the souls of those who tried to double cross him. He won at every angle. The only thing he could never have set right with him was the annual slave show. A partner of his in all of his doings would pay him to host his black market human trafficking operation and the Devil found this man useful so he allowed it but never attended. He enjoyed a good hopeless soul but the way those poor people looked as they were brought out in chains, naked as the day the were born, some with fear some just done being alive after all they had endured, it just... it wasn't something he wanted to see. So he stayed away when it came to the casino until now. Now something has caught his attention and he won't stop until it's his and until he figures out why he feels the way he does. [NSFW] In this world, we live in a world where everyone's AU has died out, only find out there was a heaven and hell. One per AU. Of course, the 'awares' had this place they could always go to to talk and was considered as the middle. The center, the heart. As well as hang outs, like a place for the Bad Time Trio, etc. Now, they have angels, demons, and the fallen. Fallens are angels who have committed a sin, but not evil enough to become a demon. They are frowned upon. Not considered the same. Sadly, most of them consist of young children. The angels and demons of course would fight. And at the heart of angel society, was Ink. He was the most cutest, pure, and innocent bean you could ever find. Then there was Nightmare. Being able to have him right around his fingers. Every year, if either on the Angel or Devil side, if there isn't another ruler to rule alongside the main one, or 'protector', then there is a specific time you have to find someone. Otherwise, you get kicked off as it is unfair to rule alone. The only reason Ink isn't kicked off is because he has someone ruling with him. Dream & Blue. Of course, Nightmare has only been able to stall by trying to find one, seeing them as not the one, and the counter gets reset. You can't do it forever though. Now, Ink terribly naive for a protector. Of course, he was the heart. He had a place in everyone's heart- With Dream & Blue being the next. Blue being a guard, and Dream being his 'right-hand man.' Most of the time being the one helping and guiding Ink. They soon find him to be missing, captured by the demons. Panic would be spread all over the place if they were to find out Ink was missing. With this, and a limited time to work with, considering if you were to officially become a ruler of somewhere, your heart has to actually want to leave if you were to leave. Remember how Cuphead and Mugman made a horrible mistake of going to that Carnival where they met him for the first time and Cuphead was being a show off so much that he ended up losing? This takes place in the Cuphead show, where The Devil is still wanting Cuphead's soul. My Guardian Nightmare
There was a rumored cult that has always been circulating around town, giving offerings to a demonic entity as to worship him and avoid hell from being unleashed unto the town for many centuries. Yet all of them, so far, has made the Demon either angry or annoyed, a bit of satisfaction being the most they could get. However though, this year, a young child, who has been treated terribly by all but family gave the only thing they have besides his clothes and a colorful pillow that he had grew up with. Ever since that child has given his precious items as an offering to the eldritch abomination, however, his life has gradually began to change, for the better for the worse, Error couldn't tell. All the child cared about, was his family, and the Guardian that has began to protect him. Although said Guardian looks like a goopy tar stained horror that you'd see only in Lovecraftian horror or your nightmares, Error couldn't care, for he had a nice Guardian despite it's awful looks! After all, you should never judge a book by it's over.
