The Fire In My Heart // Brock Rumlow Origin Story

Agent Brock Rumlow has trained hard to finally get into the STRIKE recruitment program. Although his uncle had always told him stories of his incredible work at SHIELD, not everything turns out as rosy as Brock would like it to. A classified file goes missing, his superior, Lieutenant Dannser, is trying to kick him out and Brock becomes less and less sure if this is really what he wants to do for the rest of his life.
-- This might be the first entry into a multiple-part series of books all revolving around the MCU. This first one takes place long before the events of The Winter Soldier and mainly focuses on SHIELD and more specifically follows Agent Rumlow on his way of becoming STRIKE's commander.
