Hailey has been fourteen for quite some time now, an age which she happens to enjoy being very much. But she knows it can change in a second. Living in a strange, seemingly mythical (but totally not) world that had been trapped in a time warp a long, long, long time ago (who knows when) since she was kidnapped from her dear mother while out playing, she had to learn how to fend for herself with only a mysterious figure whose face she has never seen to help.
In a world where anything impossible seems to be possible, Hailey has to watch out for herself, praying that every time she breathes won't be her last.
A mixture of horror, fantasy, romance and everything in between. I have to warn you, this book is going to be a wild ride. I mean, I myself had goose bumps and chills running down my arms and spine writing this. I think it's not a genre you've seen before since it feels like a mixture of everything.
So I'm not sure how many of you are willing to read this story because honestly, I'm really busy these days but I really want to write this story but I don't have the will to keep myself awake to write this story. However, if after reading the summary, you guys are enthralled by this little idea for a story of mine, I'm willing to write this story.
So anyway, after reading the summary above, what do you guys think? If you like what you have read so far, please post on my profile, the comments section below or add this story onto your reading lists or library to let me know how many of you actually like the story so far and want to read it. It would also be helpful if you guys gave constructive feedback. Thanks in advance! :)
Sorry for the really long author's note but I'm really nervous and excited about this chapter.
P.s. The idea for this story came to me in a dream, or two(if my memory serves me right). I know, crazy awesome right? It totally is.
Hated by the people she's sworn to protect, dragon rider Neely Lynch searches for her stolen dragon while struggling to control the dark powers inside her.
*****
After the Culling of Naughton -- a horrific slaughter that led to the murder of several dragon riders and the destruction of two separate armies -- Neely Lynch is on the warpath. Unbeknownst to most, Neely and her friends survived the Culling and are determined to reunite with their kidnapped dragons at any cost (even if that means leaving a trail of broken and bloody bodies behind them). But finding her dragon soon becomes the least of her problems when Neely discovers her disappearance after the Culling has only added to her reputation as the infamous Vidalin Rider. Hated and scorned by the people she's sworn to protect, Neely must find a way to prove she's not the villain everyone thinks she is before her dark and deadly powers, which are slowly growing beyond her control, transform her into the very thing she's trying not to be.
[The Rider's Legend can be read as Book 3 in The Rider series, or as a standalone -- but note that it will spoil Book 1 and 2]
