A story about two generations of Laurenses and Hamiltons, and how their lives become entwined through family, friends, self-discovery, and love.

It starts out rocky - Frances doesn't know what's going on in her life - her relationship with her father seems fragile, she doesn't exactly have a lot of friends, and the ones she does have have better ones than her. There's something going with her mind, she doesn't know what it is, and she hates it.

Philip has a good life - his dad is basically his best friend, but he has a million other friends at school that are all a close second. He's confident he can get with the girl he's recently developed a crush on until he meets her best friend.

John is lonely - he's trying to understand his daughter, but she has been more recently drifting away and he doesn't know if she needs help, or if he could even help her if she did. He wishes they could be a team, but she seems to prefer going solo.

Alex is overworked - he barely has time for anything. Recently a single dad, he's constantly at the office, working longer hours to support his seven kids. He's got Philip to help him out around the house and with the other kids, at least, but that doesn't make solitarily running a household that much easier.

Will the trip to the principal's office that changes all their lives be for better - or worse?

Love can feel empowering. Love can be deadly. It can be the greatest thing to ever happen. It can be the biggest mistake that can't be reversed. It can feel like a dream come true. It can feel like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Love changes people in many ways, from mild to severe, whether it's beneficial or detrimental in anybody's life, no matter if you're lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, or a person who just loves people without a label. How does love change you? ******* It's like your basic high school love story, except it's with adults in their early-mid 20s, and they're either still in college or have graduated from college and have jobs. It's a modern slice of life narrative novel about lesbians trying to find true love or wanting to get back into the love game. Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? [Content/Trigger Warnings- the main warnings are scenes of sexual activity, and suicidal talk/attempt, along with mentions of said attempt. Everything else is listed inside the book! Please read the list before reading the book!] [Word count: +140,000 words...I write a lot, but enjoy anyway!]

[Highest ranking #85] "Your family killed my mother for no reason plus I'm a pathetic weak girl, so don't expect us to be friends even if we have to be married" Jezebel said I looked at her blankly this is my fault I pushed her away I said all those things I acted cold towards her. She looked at me and you could see the slightest speck of emotion and its was sadness. I shook my head and looked at her. She rolled her eyes and started to walk out but I stopped her. "Oh Ella.. We will be more than friends and there is noting you can do about it" I said and grabbed her arm and threw her on my bed and smirked down at her innocent face. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Aiden Casin is a bad boy. Parents are the ruthless Carter Casin and carefree Isabella Casin. He sleeps around with all kinds of girls, speaks his mind, bully's on people, never listens, gets bad grades, and he's always breaking the rules.... Not believable? Yea, I'm not buying it either.. Aiden is actually a good kid people just give him all these labels because of his dad, that are mostly not true.... He does sleep around with girls and sometimes if it's necessary he will bully people to get a point through. But then something unexpected happened. He has to wed to his fathers rival gang for a treaty.... Jezebel Pari.... Hm. Doesn't that sound familiar? Wait you don't know her parents do you? Parents are Susan Pari and Dylan Pari. Jezebel is the exact opposite of her parents she is innocent and she is pure.... Yea, I'm not kidding this time. Even if her parents are or were totally freaks, Jezebel is the kindest girl you'll ever met. She loves animals, nature, people and her main hobby is art. But what will happen when her father makes her marry Aiden for her to spy on them? Will love blossom? Or will they be the rivals they were destined to be? Once enemies, always enemies. 42 parts Complete Mature

Alexander knows he loves Laurens. He also knows that he is straight and only has a platonic relationship with Laurens. He does not think about the taste of Laurens' lips, the soft curls of his hair framing his honey-drop freckles, the curve and snap of the muscles under his skin, or the region under his breeches he wouldn't dare say even under the cover of his thoughts. He loves John Laurens, but not like that, ya know? I mean, come on, there's no way he's gay in a time where that could get you killed, where he's a public political figure, where he's a proud American soldier, where he could die any second (thanks to the time period and his mouth), or where he's married to Elizabeth Schuyler. So, shut up, okay. It's not gonna happen. Ever. In conclusion, go to hell. . . . Follows the musical like a timeline. Basically, how I imagine Lams would have been able to occur during the OG time period.
