The Girls with the Flame Tattoos
In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. This is a collection of short stories centered around soulmates. Each story has its own characters, with their own conflicts, romances, hopes, and dreams. Although these stories are in no way connected to each other, I'm hoping I can touch on a little bit of everyone's worlds--from heterosexual relationships to transgender people to non-binary gender identification and everything in between (bear with me, I will do my best to research these and if something is wrong let me know because I want to understand other people's worlds).
