The Day I Met You

Today is the day.
Today I am going to talk to her.

The girl with hair as red as scarlet, constantly flowing with the wind in fiery waves. She seems to always wear the exact same clothes, a red and black flannel with a black shirt underneath, and no matter how cold it gets she always wears denim shorts and black boots.

Everyday, her face has the exact same, sad expression while she stands next to the gate of which I'm guessing is her school, watching the people walking by looking like she is longing. For what exactly? Well, that is what I want to find out.

No one ever seems to pay much attention to her and you could say that I have been "interested" in her, so today is the day that I am going to regain my lost confidence and talk to her. The mysterious girl with the red hair.

I walk across the street after checking for cars and, after pausing and hesitating for a moment, I carefully walk straight up to her.

She doesn't seem to notice me.

"Hi there."

She turns her head and looks at me, but then, as if she got her hopes up, she turns back looking at the other people walking by.

"Excuse me?"

She immediately looks back at me. She turns pale as a bedsheet.

I wave my hand in a way to greet her again.

She opens her mouth.

"You're not suppose to see me".
