Like cinnamon, sugar and burnt marshmallows.  He lingers, kissing me only for a moment then pulls away.  I feel like I might explode.  I genuinely might explode from pure joy."

Samantha has always felt like the odd man out. Her two best friends both know exactly what they want in life, while she remains uncertain. Her mom seems to have created a new family with her step-dad and little brothers, one that she doesn't feel fully a part of.  Sometimes it feels like there is nowhere she truly belongs. That is until she meets Caleb Ramirez.  He's cute, always smells of cinnamon from working in his aunt's waffle shop, and understands her in a way that no one ever has before.

He looked a little taken aback. "You were going to reject me. I just thought we both needed to experience this only once. You are the future Alpha, so I should not be the one to break the bond. Please do it now!" I do not why, but I wanted him to do it. After all, he was going to do it before and I did not want a kiss to change his mind. "I Caleb King, reject you Anna Amores as my mate." But he's dating Catherine. Does he like me? Did he like me? Does he only see me as a friend now? Had I missed my chance? Was I being an idiot for thinking such things? Was that image supposed to be a sign that I'm supposed to be with him? Or was it the world trying to break me again?

Human touch can be seen as a reassurance that we are not alone. So much can be expressed through a simple touch; Love, hate, and need. The list is endless. Touch can go from a simple handshake to a friendly hug. It can be meaningless or it can be everything, depending on who the contact is coming from. I was hugged once when I was Eight after my parents died in a car crash. I was told it sent me into a catatonic state, I became totally unresponsive for about two days. After several tests and sessions with a therapist I was diagnosed with Haphephobia which means that I have a fear of being touched. My therapist believes that my parents death is what brought this on. I don't remember much about my parents but I do remember their touch. I remember how my mom would always kiss my forehead before tucking me in at night, and how my dad always ruffled my hair whenever I sat on his lap. It's funny really, I can't remember what they look like but yet their touch is still fresh in my mind. -Sam Samantha Carson has been homeschooled ever since losing her parents in a car accident made her afraid of getting close to anyone. Now with only two years of schooling left her Aunt makes her attend public highschool to try to help her overcome her fear. On the first day she meets Seth MCcannon, a rebel originally from the city of Chicago. He's someone who is use to fighting to get what he wants. And Seth wants Sam.

Maybe you just have to find out! ~~~~ It's been about 10 years since I wrote this story. I have NO idea what my thought process was. After re-reading and editing it, I've come to the conclusion that this is the craziest story I've ever read. If you like cliché, you'll like this story.
